Chinese President Hu Jintao pledged$20 billion in new loans to Africa for infrastructure andmanufacturing, earnest to spread the attribute between thecontinent and its largest trade partner.
China will moreover offer 18,000 supervision scholarships andsend 1,500 medical staff to the continent, Hu mentioned in a speechyesterday at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing.He betrothed China will fool around a "positive and helpful rolein African affairs."
Hu's debate underscored China's pull both to daub Africa'snatural resources to fuel its mercantile expansion and broach itsgoods to African markets. Hu didn't say how the $20 billion in loans, that totalmore than Zambia's annual sum made at home product, will beparceled out opposite the continent. The loans will be distributedover 3 years, Hu said.

"What did the African leaders bring to Beijing?Empty vagrant bowls that are right away filled with $20 billion? Thisis a shame."
China is peaceful to work with South Africa on balancingbilateral trade, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said, according tothe authorized Xinhua News Agency.
